Dr. Harold A. Smith, D.D.S. is an established dentist practicing in Indianapolis. He serves as a dental consultant to five major Indianapolis hospital sleep disorder clinics and has been active in their accreditation process. He is the only full time dentist treating patients in the state of Indiana designated as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Smith is currently Teasurer for the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Smith served as President of the American Acadamy of Dental Sleep Medicine from 2002 - 2004 and currently serves on the Executive Committee. He has been working successfully with oral appliances to treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea since 1993.

It is Dr. Smith's hope "to educate and treat undiagnosed people in the state of Indiana with OSA. Thousands of people in Indiana who have been treated but not successfully, need to know there is a dental option."

Dr. Smith graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with an A.B. degree and from Indiana University School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. degree. He is married and has three children. Dr. Smith has served on many levels of organized dentistry throughout the years.
